As a Special Administrative Region of China, Hong Kong is situated on the southeast coast of China, occupying an area of 426 square miles (1,104 square kilometers). The city is one of the world's leading financial, banking and trading centers. It is made up of four parts: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon Peninsula, the New Territories and the Outlying Islands. The prosperous island is the center of economy, politics, entertainment and shopping with its southern part noted for sea shores and bays. Kowloon is another flourishing part where Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok are the most popular destinations. The New Territories and Outlying Islands are ideal places to experience a peaceful and natural holiday. The city has a population of about 6,970,000 and most people (about 97% of the population) are Chinese and speak Cantonese and English. There are few language barriers, making the city one of the hottest travel destination in Asia. Due to the advantageous geographical location, Hong Kong serves as an important transport hub between international cities and regions with major cities in Mainland China. The well-developed urban transport system can be used to most places in the city, making traveling convenient and cheap.

Victoria Harbour (Victoria Bay)

Situated between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Peninsula, Victoria Harbour, aka Victoria Bay, is the largest harbour in China and the third largest in the world, after San Francisco in the United States and Re de Janeiro in Brazil. It is home to most of the ports of Hong Kong, making the city one of the world's busiest ports. The harbour bustles day and night with all manner of watercraft – from the historic Star Ferries to cruise liners, cargo ships, and wooden fishing vessels.

Avenue of Stars

The Avenue of Stars is a scenic seaside promenade in the east of Tsim Sha Tsui. Currently, it is closed for renovation and is expected to reopen in 2018. During the construction, the handprints and statues of Hong Kong stars are exhibited at the nearby Starlight Garden and Starlight Gallery.

Hong Kong Disneyland

To visit the city, Hong Kong Disneyland is a must-see because of its special attractions and the inimitable sense of Chinese culture. Walking into it, you feel you are in a wonderland. Accompanied by Mickey Mouse and other Disney friends, you start a fantastic and magical journey. With unique scenic spots and Disney Theme Hotels, you can go escape from the real world, and make your dreams come true. The availability of delicious Chinese and Asian food is also a lure for many visitors and Disney fans.

Ocean Park

Ocean Park is a major attraction in Hong Kong, the luminous pearl of the Orient and world financial center in southeast China. The city's mild climate and coastal scenery, attracts throngs of visitors annually from all over world. Any visit to Hong Kong should include the world famous sea park.

The Hong Kong Ocean Park is located on the south end of Hong Kong Island. The larger of two sections is on the headlands of Nam Lang Shan Mountain. The smaller section is in the Wong Chuk Hang Valley lowlands. With an area of 69 hectares (170 acres), it's one of the largest ocean park in the world.
